Haubergeon, Half Sleeves Chainmail Shirt
A Haubergeon is a medieval chain shirt. This is a short or semi-short-sleeved shirt that reaches the middle of the thigh and is not slit. A more precise definition is misleading since there was no norm in the Middle Ages that would have dictated the exact dimensions. A Haubergeon can therefore have sleeves which only protrude tightly into the upper arm or almost go to the elbow and can vary in the length from almost hipster (Gjermundbuhemd) to the lower third of the thighs.
