The so-called "Suagr Loaf" style of helmet was very common in period artwork. The domade skull provides a glancing surface that helps turn away arrows and sword strikes. It features a moveabale visor and brass overlaid cross. Our example is made of 2mm (14 gauge) steel with Leather inserts and Straps wit browplate.
